The business was established in 2000 by Chris Witcombe, who brought his extensive knowledge from a 20+ year career in the powder coating industry to create the company. Later that year, Jo Thornicroft joined the team, further enhancing our expertise.  Since then, ORS has flourished, taking on diverse projects ranging from the Olympic Stadium to large-scale McDonald’s rollouts.

Jo’s impressive 20+ years with ORS have solidified her reputation as a leading expert in surface coatings. Her deep understanding of the field has fostered strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. At ORS, safety and management are paramount, which is why our site teams hold SMSTS and/or SSSTS qualifications, ensuring a secure and well-managed work environment.
