Refurbish and respray public hand rails
The ORS team recently completed these public hand rails, located between a shopping centre and a busy train station, so they’ve seen a lot of traffic. ORS were instructed to complete a full restoration to these hand rails, including mechanical abrasion, cleaning and respraying to a standard to withstand years of use.
On the left are typical hand rails when the original coating has failed through heavy use, leaving an edge which lifts and cracks, breaking off more of the coating. The right is how they look after being fully treated and refinished by the ORS team, smooth and shiny again, like new!
In order to protect the surrounding surfaces, the ORS team fully masked off all surfaces not to receive paint, it’s one of the unknown processes as the masking is only there whilst the spraying takes place and removed. In this instance the works were completed overnight and ready for trading at 7am.
